HAVE FUN

I am often faulted for having too much fun.
Actually if it's not fun, I am more apt to not do it.
Every hobby I have is because it is fun and brings me joy.
Reading this morning out of a book by Iyanla Vanzant,
this is what she tells me about work vs. fun:
IT IS NECESSARY TO SPEND SOME PORTION
OF YOUR LIFE HAVING FUN.
WE CAN GET SO CAUGHT UP IN THE PROCESS OF LIFE,
THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF LIFE,
WHAT WE WANT FROM LIFE,
THAT WE FORGET TO HAVE FUN.
LIFE IS A JOKE.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL.
IF YOU THINK ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS
THAT GO ON IN LIFE, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE
BUT TO LAUGH. LIFE IS A GAME.
GAMES ARE INTENDED TO BE FUN, BUT WE WORK
AT OUR GAMES AND TURN OUR GAMES INTO WORK.
WE GET SO CAUGHT UP IN THE WORK PORTION
OF LIFE THAT WE FORGET TO PLAY.
WE FORGET TO HAVE FUN.
WHEN YOU COMMIT SOME TIME EACH WEEK
TO PLAYING AND HAVING FUN,
LIFE GETS MUCH EASIER.
IT KEEPS YOU YOUNG AND VIBRANT.
FUN ALLOWS YOU TO THINK ABOUT SOMETHING
OTHER THAN WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE OR CANNOT DO.
FUN IS ABSOLUTELY FREE.
So as the weekend approaches,
go out and have some fun!
Go out and find something fun to do...
AND DO IT!
love to all

  1. As you can clearly tell by the picture, if there is one thing everyone in our family knows how to do is have some fun!!!!!! I think I'll go out and have a little fun myself this weekend! Thanks for the suggestion. Don't know what I'll do, but I'll let you know how it turns out!!! Heather, Doc's neice is in town cause she broke her foot in 3 places doing the fooo on a four wheeler last weekend. She will be out of work for the next 6 to 8 weeks. I'll probably be baby sitting (literally) her this weekend. She likes to fish. Maybe, we'll go fishing at Lake Verette, or as us coonies up the bayou call it, "the end of the lake". Figuring that's the safest thing to bring Heather to do. But, with that girl, you never know. She's liable to jump on someone's jet ski or party barge. That girl is a mess, but I Love her lots and she is having a really hard time dealing with her Uncle Doc not being around anymore. He was more of a Father to her that her own father was. According to her Mom, it helps her when she and I spends time together, but I'm not sure that her Mom's not just trying to get rid of her. LOL!!! Any whoooo.....get the grease ready, I think we gonna go catch us some fish!!!! Ya'll all have a great weekend, not that many of you are visiting here lately. What C, Ms. VP is too important to blog with us anymore??????? And Ronnie, what kinda crack pot gonna come in your house and just steal you laptop and a few pills. Was your house unlocked and do you have any idea who it might be? Anyway, Lil, with all due respect, it's not as much fun just me & you. And, by the way, Father-in-Law of Steve, where the heck are you!!!! I though you were back up and running? Love to ya all and have a great weekend!! Going have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Hi, Y'all!! Ted and I are going to the Saints game with some friends tonight and then the rest of the weekend will be spent working in our yard. We've been escavating the new piece of property that we just bought, next to "Celena's" and around the back yard removing those huge ass pieces of cement...what a task that was for Poor Ted..thank goodness for friends with heavy equipment!! So far, we found three capped wellheads...who knows we might actually be the next "BAYOU HILLBILLIES". I told Ted that we should try and get it seismographed to check out the possibility of production...you never know!!

Anyway, I'm making my way through the last few blogs and just went to visit Pete's.

    Have a great weekend everybody!!!
    Love,
    C

  3. Hi ya’ll,

----- I haven’t been blogging much because I been running around getting Cheryl’s gift ready for our 30th year anniversary. I had an engagement ring made for her. She lost the original one quite a few years ago. It’s a replica of my wedding band with an opal mounted on top. I had to order a plain ring and have a jeweler cut the design on it to match my ring then have the stone put on. It came out very nice and she really liked it a lot.

----- Rosie tell Heather I said I and I’m sorry about her foot. (Not surprising though.) (LOL) I sure hope she starts feeling better about missing Doc. I know it will take her awhile.

----- &&^**$$#)_$&)(_#&)#@*#*(#(*&_## S _ _ T. Celena, man I forgot about the Saints game. I really wanted to see the first game of the season. Was it tonight (Friday) or is it tomorrow??? I hope its Saturday so I can try to remember to watch it.

----- Ronnie, your brake in and robbery doesn’t sound right. I’m no Cop but I do watch a lot of “Monk” on T.V.(LOL) And to me it sounds like an inside job. Was your house broken into or what??? Well I’m real sorry it happened. Hay, maybe Steve can help you buy a new one when you are ready. (LOL)

----- And speaking of computers, did Simone get hers yet??? If so, did she get it set up yet ??? If she needs help to learn how to use it I’ll go down and help her set it up so it’s easy for her. Let me know something. I know Guy is a computer expert but she tells me she doesn’t understand what he tells her. That’s what I think I can help her with.

----- I haven’t heard any comments about my idea of Lilly’s new name. I cannot get used to “Lilly The Great.” So I think either Lilly or Baby Lillian should use the nick name Lil Lil. What ya’ll think???

----- I’ll be blogging a new story very soon. Hopefully tonight or later this weekend. So try to check out my blog spot soon.

----- That’s it for now. TTFN.
    --------- L-U-A,
    ------------ Peter
