CASS IS A SENIOR THIS YEAR!!!

Let's just say it was wonderful company last night for supper.

Funny thing about family is that I can count on one hand

the times I have spent with Thaisy

yet last night it was just like we had always spent time

together, Like we picked up just where we had left off..

She is a wonderful Mother to Cass.

Cass was being the typical senior, sharing her future plans

and dreams about moving out and moving on

because her Mom is too overprotective,

and Thaisy was defending her love for this

beautiful child.

So I agreed with Thaisy telling Cass that it is

a scary world for us Mom's...

I reminded her that this tells me how lucky she is

that her Mom is a great Momma.

Cass now has a car, a boyfriend, and a JOB!!!!

She works at Sonic and has her own Pink Skates

and wears them as she delivers food to cars!!!!

She says she makes lots of tips because she

is really good at it.

She just got her new Pink laptop yesterday

and still came eat supper with her Aunt Lil!!

Ray is so good to Thaisy and Cass,

an all-around good man.

Thaisy and Ray will be in New Orleans in September

with friends for Thaisy's 35th birthday!

We talked about maybe letting Cass come also and stay with us

down the bayou!!!!

We also talked about getting together in October with

as many of us who can go to meet in Lake Charles

which would be half way for all of us.

There are awesome antique shops, second hand stores

and Casino's in Lake Charles, so

there could be fun for all...

So who is up for a girls' weekend?

Ron is in school all day so I get to play in

this fantastic town called Katy, Texas!

So many things to do...

Found this scrapbook store called Archive's

and they have like everything that

I ever dreamed of and thing I have only seen on

the internet.

Spent most of my money there :^O

So, I am in TJ Max and I hear,

"Ms. Lilly?"

I am 600 miles from home and someone knows me!!!!

I turn to see my other son, Ross 'bon' girlfriend, Lauren!

Come to find out Ross is also at a school here in Katy

and Lauren came for the ride.

What is the chance that she and I would be in the same

store at the same time?

So today Lauren and I are hanging out,

will go see a movie,

find a few second hand stores that

I have been researching.

FUN, FUN, FUN, !!!!

Don't be jealous you working people!

Will be meeting for supper with

Thaisy, Cass, Ray and maybe Ethan

tomorrow night and can hardly wait!

Ethan may be leaving tomorrow so he may not

be able to eat with us but I surely hope

I finally get to meet him and take lots and lots of

pictures to share with all of you!!!!

with one of Ronnie's friends who lives here

and his girlfriend...

I still love spending time with you.

The best thing about your Mom having cancer

last summer was the time you and I

were able to spend together and all

we talked about.

Will treasure the time forever.

Cammi's day

Just wanted to share with you guys a scrapbook page

I made with pictures from Cammi and I's get together this week.

We had a blast and I believe she will be a scrap-lover

just like her Nannie and Abby.

The pictures were taken at Debbie's antiques in Thibodaux

and if you have never been there, it is definitely a place

you want to stop at and if you are hungry, Demitasse is

connected, it is a coffee-shop but

has the best panini's and soups you could die for.

So Cammi remains as sweet and happy as ever.

How I have always loved and honored this box.

I am so thankful that when I was young mumsie and Daddy

took care of it for me.

I could play with it but only when being monitored and

only for small amounts of time.

I loved the inside pattern and used to play in my

fantasy life in that little cabin.

Probably why I love dollhouses and miniatures.

When I got older, Mumsie gave it to me

and it began to hold treasures of mines.

What treasures, you ask?

Let's see what can I share today, something you may not know

about me....

I love old boxes...

Not just any old boxes, they have a few requirements.

They must be old and they must be made of wood.

I get very excited if I find one at a garage sale, flea market,

or antique store.

My favorite are the ones with tongue in groove corners.

If they are made of cedar, then I get really excited.

The insides cannot be lined with anything, only wood.

When did this obsession start?

I link it back to two old boxes Daddy had and gave me

when I was a teenager.

I have always stored them with treasures,

love notes, high school things I had to

save. From there I began to

find that I always had to search wherever I was for boxes.

Remember the company Lane who made most of our

Hope chests?

Way back when, they made small versions of their boxes

as samples.

I own two of those, one I bought for 4 bucks with the key!

Oh, that was a happy day!!!!

So lilbit of what I love.

scrap addict

I am a scrapbook addict ( they say admitting is 50% of the batttle).

So yesterday I spent my whole day in my scrapbook room.

This is one of the layouts I made.

There are so many copies floating around of this picture

and when visiting my nannie she gave me another,

so I thought, why not put it into my scrapbook?

The journaling says something like:

I will bet that Mom and Dad believed their family to

be complete when Daddy took this picture.

However that was not to be with Rosie following

not long after the picture was taken and C and I

to follow in the early 60's.

7 kids would complete this family.

I love everything vintage especially if I find it

at an antique store or a garage sale.

So the cutouts are from a treasure I found

at a little antique store in Plaquemine.

There i found this old children's book

from the 1920's that was falling apart for 5 dollars.

I could hardly wait to start tearing it up!!!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE

VERONICA COULDN'T STAY AWAY, SHE SHOWED UP LATE BUT CAME!!!

I cannot begin to explain what a wonderful time we all had at the beach.

So, I just had to post bunches of pictures.

The beach was perfect, not hot, little wind, the water perfect.

Look at the sky in these pictures and the water.

Anyone who hasn't been to the beach in a while

needs to go.

It is a place where you can just relax, doesn't matter

how dirty you get.

The best part was being together with family, again!

At one time or another all the girls showed up

even with Ronnie coming late in the evening after

C and Mone left.

Wish Peter and his gang could have made it also.

Rosie was in her glory cooking and waiting on all of us.

We ate way too much, got way too much sun,

talked and talked and shared old stories.

Some the same ones we tell all the time

and then a few new ones.

The younger children were mesmerized with the stories.

We sat outside and talked into late into the night

until Veronica decided it was time to go home.

Ange' bailed out on me, following Granny home.

I forgive her ;o)!

Mom was energized by her trip and I was

so, so glad to have shared this time with her

and all of those who came.

Mom said on the way home,

"I wish we would get together more often like that."

Wonderful memories were made

I love being a part of all of y'all lives.

August 8th will be Aunt Genie and Uncle Roy's

50th wedding anniversary, let's all try to make it

there with our mom!

was her comment.

MOVE OVER OBAMA!!!!

YES, THAT IS RIGHT WE HAVE A VICE-PRESIDENT IN THE FAMILY!!!

Our sister, Celena was voted senior vice-president

of Offshore Towing yesterday at a board meeting!!!

Moma said it the best yesterday when she called to share

the news with me,

"I am so happy for her, she has worked so hard all her life, she deserves this."

My sentiments exactly, my dear Mother!!!!

Roddie was also impressed, saying,

"Wow she should be proud, she's not even a family member, usually

those positions are saved for family."

I'm not even about to share on here what Jesi said to her Aunt C

about the position and what Aunt C said to her.

They have this weird relationship and most wouldn't understand ;o).

C, I am so proud of you, always have been, always will be

(So don't hate me because of the picture, I love that picture!)

Here are the first pictures of Roddie and Katie's new home.

It is just beautiful and I'll be putting more later today when

I get back from Plaquemine with inside photos.

We accomplished a lot yesterday and new

furniture is coming in today.

It's so exciting for them.

I just know they will be so happy in this home.

Well our family will be blessed with another baby to love!!!

My godchild Em and her hubby Andre'

will be parents soon.

So much has been written in the world about

babies but when my kids were young there

was a post on the church bulletin about a Mother's love.

When I read it, It made me cry because it is exactly how I felt

about being a mother and the love I felt to my babies.

Now would be a perfect time to share it with you all.

GOOD LUCK: Roddie sold his house in Napoleonville in three days.

BAD LUCK: He had to move out before he was ready.

GOOD LUCK: They found a home in Plaquemine, Acadian style just like they wanted.

BAD LUCK: The sale took longer than they expected.

GOOD LUCK: Finally they are able to move on Monday.

BAD LUCK: Katie left a job she loved here to find herself struggling to find a job.

GOOD LUCK: Katie starts her new job on Tuesday.

They are both so excited about moving into the new house

which is beautiful!!!!

Ange's adventure

Swallowed by a shark

I kissed him yet he remained a frog

Ange' getting her bracelet made at the French Quarter

Ange' and I spent the last three days together

and both of us were sad to say goodbye yesterday.

We started our adventure at Bingo Monday night

where Ang' won $33!!!!

It was her first time to play real Bingo

and we almost missed her winnings but at the last

minute, we got her screaming Bingo

and she was a little bit richer.

On Tuesday, Uncle Ronnie was nice

enough to treat us to a hotel room since

he had to fly out the next morning to go to work.

She and I swam and shopped,

oh we had fun!

On Wednesday morning we headed out to

the Aquarium and my favorite was watching the penguins

being fed.

We watched an Imax movie then headed on the streetcar

to go to the French Quarter.

Ange' picked a pretty name bracelet as her souvenir

and we were able to watch the crafter make it.

Then we spent time at the doll store in

Jackson Square.

Ange' was in heaven there since she

adores babies and baby dolls.

She was hoping that Santa knew about that

store since they have Reborns there

and she really wants one.

What a great date she was for me.
