Abby is having her tonsils out this morning.
Pray that she does fine through
the surgery and her recovery.
I will be going to the hospital this
morning to be with Guy and Lisa.
I will update when I get back
but I am sure she will do fine.
Keep her close to your thoughts
and heart today and for the
next few weeks as she
finds out pudding and ice-cream
has nothing on hamburgers and fries!!

Well, just like the trooper that she is,
ReplyDeleteAbby is home after a safe surgery and doing pretty
well considering how painful a tonsillectomy is.
I spoke with her Mom tonight and she had actually drank
and ate popsicles and her pain medication was helping her.
I gave Lisa the best advice,
PUT YOUR P.J.'S ON, HOP INTO BED WITH ABBY AND STAY THERE FOR THE
NEXT THREE DAYS.

Abby, I'm glad you are doing well after your surgery. Remember to take it easy and get plenty of rest. Emily had hers taken out last year and I stayed with her at her house. Her only problem was that she would vomit after taking her pain medicine. We finnally figured out that she was not putting anything in her stomach before taking pain medicine. Once we got past that everything went just fine. But do remember this if you start felling bad after pain medicine be sure to drink milk or something before your medicine.

Hi! Thank you all for the great wishes for Abby! Lil, we really appreciate you being there. Uncle Peter, I feel for Emily; I know that must have been really rough at her age.
ReplyDeleteAbby did really well. Now she must be healing because the pain is getting worse. Thank God for pain medicine. She cries every 4 hours when it wears off. It is heartbreaking to see her in pain, as you know. Guy was so upset last night. I am glad that I am the one staying with her. I am thankful that the surgery is over and I know it will take time.
