my days with the Plaisance brothers

Much to share about these cutie boys but nothing that
pictures can't say better,
So here goes,
Hugh, Owen, and I visited Nottoway Plantation...
Some may call this art but if you are 11 and 5 it is just
down-right funny!
The front version is no more serious than the
back version and no matter how much
Aunt Lil explained art,
well we just had to resort to these pictures.
The tour was a little bit exhausting so each of the boys,
both Hugh,
and Owen had to take a drink out of this cool fountain...
Hugh took this picture of Nottoway from a painting
in the mansion...
Sometimes Owen just had to resort to his little brother status,
blaming everything that was not right on his
big brother, Hugh...
But I was so proud of Hugh because even though
he understood and knew that I understood that
these small melt-downs were not his fault,
he took the big brother approach,
accepted responsibility and did what it took
to make his lil brother happy.
What a great big brother he is...
Always making sure to include Owen in every aspect
of the trip...
Hugh took this awesome picture of Owen and I
I really love it and will have to do something special with it,
like scrapbook maybe, hmmmm...
We visited the graves of the people who are buried
on Nottoway property...
Taken right outside of the restaurant after we ate a wonderful meal...
Being silly is always part of the time spent with Aunt Lil
and it looking like this straw is hanging from Owen's eye
is a camera flaw,
don't worry no one was hurt while hanging out...
Owen ate nuggets, it's what I think he is made of,
But Hugh, oh Hugh is a restaurant date,
enjoying a complimenting everything he ate
from the cornbread to the gumbo to
the lamb chops,
that boy loves his food!!!!!
Owen and I also had time to feed the ducks at the library,
His happy face is not on because one of these darn
red-headed birds had the nerve to bite his finger...
This is the old bird that bit him,
right after we took this picture,
just grabbed that bread right out of his hand...
We also spent time with the old mommee and Owen
just had to check out Mommee's cane for size,
since he's going to live to be 100, he may need it.
I had a wonderful time, boys.
What a pleasure you are to your parents...
Keep loving each other even when it seems hard.
Know that Aunt Lil loves you guys,
even if Aunt C is your favorite, HUGH!!!
:^)
