GOD SPEAKS..

Laugh if you must, my children do,
When I tell them God speaks to me when I walk
and when I brush my teeth.
This morning it happens while I walk.
It hits like an urgency like when you
have to go to the bathroom and you are
driving on the interstate and no
gas station is available,
you know the feeling.
So, this morning, I am walking and I am
thinking of Rebecca and Mikie and how
jealous I am that they are going to the U2 concert.
Beck and I share the love for U2 and I really am glad
that she is going, but I am envious.
I decide that I will listen to old Bono
while I walk, the first song I hear by our man,
PEACE ON EARTH
I really listen to the words and I think
Well, that is a good message to blog about,
but I don't have time this morning,
because once I walk, I have to take a shower
and have to go to work early so that I can
get my school situated so I can
go and work in Chackbay today.
No time, not today God, sorry
but my God he just doesn't understand no time,
so he has it drizzle on me,
forcing me to turn towards home,
but still my thoughts are,
"Well I will just walk near the house in case
it starts pouring"
Well, this is just not satisfying for God,
he thinks I am stubborn this morning,
the rain gets harder and I realize,
"WHO DO I THINK I AM TO DENY OTHERS OF
THIS MESSAGE FROM GOD TO THEM?"
So I truck my little butt
(Well it would be smaller if the BIG MAN
would let me walk!!!!)
However, there is work for you guys here to,
he is telling me to tell you
(Well maybe not but I am short for time)
Look up the lyrics for the song
PEACE ON EARTH BY U2
That is where you will find your message from
God
I will share a little of what he says here:
HEAVEN ON EARTH
WE NEED IT NOW
SICK OF ALL OF THIS HANGING AROUND
SICK OF SORROW, SICK OF PAIN,
SICK OF HEARING
AGAIN AND AGAIN
THAT THERE IS GOING TO BE PEACE ON EARTH...
JESUS CAN YOU TAKE THE TIME
TO THROW A DROWNING MAN A LINE,
PEACE ON EARTH,
TELL THE ONES WHO HEAR NO SOUND
WHO SONS ARE LIVING IN THE GROUND
PEACE ON EARTH...
NO ONE CRIES LIKE A MOTHER CRIES
FOR PEACE ON EARTH.
SHE NEVER GOT THE TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
NOW HE'S LIVING IN THE DIRT...
There is lots more of his message in this song,
so don't do like I tried to do this morning
and pass up his message.
Get your you know what to a computer,
print the lyrics and read it today,
your message is there.
And now, thanks to the BIG MAN upstairs,
I may be late for work,
TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM,
HIS TEAM!
Love to all!!!!!

  4. With everything going on in my life, and just when I think things are just going to fall apart! There goes Aunt Lil with an awesome message.

I want to share with you guys how my day ended yesterday. Well, Angelique was diagnosed with the swine flu yesterday, work was crazy as usual, and I started to feel like shit. I had to go to Wal-Mart to get some medication for my girl and gilbert, and everyone knows how I LOVE to go to Walley World. I got everything and standing in line at the pharmacy, my phone rings. Gilbert calling to get him a tabacco, that he needs! Get our meds and go to the check out where you buy tabacco. There is an older lady in like and talking about how she cannot afford medical insurance and how the prescriptions are so expensive, well she checks out her groceries and the young man loads up her basket. Then she checks out her prescriptions
and pays $206.00 for 2 prescriptions. I made the comment that how can she afford to pay that much for meds. She says how hard her husband works trawling and selling his shrimp and crabs. I kind of got teary-eyed, and she looks at me and says "God is good to everyone!" I got home and my legs, arms, and back were killing me. I was unpacking my bags, and guess what I found? This woman's medication was put in my bag. I said, "I can't let this poor woman worry about her medication that she paid all that money for." To my suprise her husband's name was in the phonebook, so I called and she answered the telephone. I explained who I was, and she told me I know who you are Veronica's daughter (Mrs. Charlene and Mr. Roger Felarise). She causally talked about how she knew my mom, and then I asked her if she was missing anything for Wal-Mart. She told me she had just walked in and Roger was getting the bags out of the car. I preceeded to tell her that I had her bag of medications. I told her I was on my way to bring them to her, because I knew that her husband probably needed the medication because he had reciently had heart surgery.

To make a long story short! She gave me directions to her house in Larose on the East side of the bayou, and told me I did not need to go she would come to our house and get it. I told her NO I was on my way. I got in the car feeling like SHIT, but I drove and went to their house. Mr. Roger was outside watering his garden, and he told me these words: "Young lady, there should be more like you in this world! May God bless you and your family!" He took off his old hat and kissed me on the cheek (on my face). I felt so good that I had done God's work!

Thanks for letting me share my story!

  5. I am not familiar with the song but i am going look it up! I still struggle with listening when The Big Man speaks but today i am going to listen!! Aunt Lil you are so funny with your stories. I find myself looking forward to reading your blog. Its strange because this is just not my cup a tea! ha
However, since I accepted Christ my world is changing....I am learning myself and others in a different light. The changes didn't happen over night but i am grateful that it's happening!Ok....I am going look up U2! God Bless
