God talks to me when I brush my teeth and when I walk and listen to music.
Some would say it's because it's the only time I shut up,
but that is another blog...
So this morning I am thinking about my own wedding
and ALAN JACKSON reminds me:

NOW LOOKING BACK, IT'S JUST A STEPPING STONE
TO WHERE WE ARE, WHERE WE'VE BEEN

WHEN THE CHILDREN GROW UP AND MOVE AWAY

This is dedicated to Ronnie who I still love after 25 years.
Let all of us married couples use this wedding weekend
to rededicate ourselves to our marriage.
A renewal of all our vows.
...I really need to stop these walks until Saturday,
I'm getting sappier and sappier!!!!!

Lilly I can't afford to get too "Sappy" right now because I'm getting ready to join my family together as you know in Tennesse. And that's all the "Sappy" I can take at one time.
ReplyDeleteBut Lilly I already expressed how I fell about you and Jesi's beauty. But just to add on to that I will say this,"It's not only you and Jesi that is beautiful. You have a beautiful family. And you deserve to be very proud of what all of you have accomplished through out the last 25 years."
But I do have a bit of bad news for you. I wouldn't bring it up on such a happy occasion but you are the one who brought it up. From what you have written in this blog I must inform you that the voice in your head in this instance is not God,,,It's Alan Jackson.DUHHHHH.

Okay, lets see if I can remember what I wanted to say. Here goes.....
ReplyDeleteOh, Lilly you have such a beautiful look in your eyes and on your face and I see the same look in Ronnie's eyes. It's like ya'll aren't even paying attention that it's ya'lls wedding. Like there is no one else that exists in the whole world but you two. I LOVE IT!!!! You know, whenever I see Roddie and Katie together, she has that same exact look in her eyes. She is going to make Ronnie so happy and vice versa. They are so lucky to have found each other and that type of LOVE. Just like the picture you have posted of Katie kissing Roddie with her eyes closed. You look at that picture and I can actually feel the love from her lips and her hands. You know people look all their lives for such a Love and never find it. I feel sorry for those people cause they will never know how it fees to have someone love you in that way. I have been fortunate enough to have felt that type of Love twice in my life. I think renewing all ya'lls vows is a great idea. As for me..... I vow to neverrrrrrrr (I know, they say "never say never", but I am saying it) neverrrrrrrrrrrr to takes those vows again. Not because I would not want to feel that love again, but for fear that I would have to endure the pain of the loss again. I can think of no greater loss with the exception of the loss of a child, which I pray to God we never have to feel that pain. Fortunately, (Not for Mom) that she is the only one who has had to endure that pain and that in itself was painful enough for us all. To feel her pain and to think that the pain we were feeling was nothing compared to hers. We lost a piece of our Mom when that happened that we will never be able to get back. That's why we all have to take good care of ourselves and be careful, not only for the sake of our spouses, children, grandchildren, but for the (as Cammi calls her) THE GRAND QUEEN!!! I LOVE YOU ALL AND CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WEDDING. Sincerely, with all these blogs and heartfelt and emotional messages we have been sending to each other, Lil, I don't think you'll be the only one sapping!!!!
