JESI'S SENSITIVE SIDE

Everyone knows Jesi as being the type of girl
who says it like it is,
says and does things for the shock factor of others.
She is to the beat of her own drum.
Yet I have the pleasure of being her momma and seeing
the sensitive side of her.
The side she would prefer that others not see.
Last night while coming back from feeding her brother's dogs,
she hit a baby cat.
She came into the house just crying so hard that
I thought something really bad had happened.
Well, to her something really bad did happen.
A baby cat crossed her path on the highway,
she tried to avoid it but couldn't.
She pulled over and searched the sides of the
highway in the dark to find the baby cat.
I kept telling her Jesi it's just a cat and it was
an accident. She was like,
"What if I killed some ones cat?"
Nothing I could say would console her,
I went to bed with her lying on the couch, hugging Jake
and crying. Poor Jesi, don't know
what time she went to bed.
It is this rare look into her sensitive side
that will make her a wonderful Nurse.

  1. I don't quite know how to respond to this. There is nothing I can say or do to make something like this better. Woman are better at consoling their children and love ones then men are. Women can listen, console and then move on. Men listen then want to Fix things, which can't be done. But men have a hard time moving on without a solution. I know this and it still drives me crazy because I can't Fix what is bothering them.

We all want our children to grew and learn what life is all about. But it kills us when they experiance an event that is part of growing up. They have to experiance these things in order to learn and grow. Yet at the same time we want to protect them from the very same things that will help them cope in their adult lives. How ironic.

So Jesi, I'm sorry for your grief over this. But at the same time I'm glad you went thru this at a young age and hopfully you will grow from this sad experiance. Hopefully you learned to grief, or you learned that there are things in your life that will happen that you have no control of, or maybe you learned how even more how you can always turn to your family to console you in your hard experiances.

I know with time you will or already have forgotten about the cat. But Jesi please don't ever loose that sensitive side of you. It's good to Cry in Grief. And it's good to fell so upset and bad for a life, even one that is so tiny. All in all this makes you a Better Person.

    LUV-U-ALWAYS,
    Later,
    Uncle Peter

I KNEW THE BEAUTIFUL "AMAZON" HAD A SENTITIVE SIDE TO HER AND I TALKED ABOUT IT IN ANOTHER BLOG. I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT SUNDAY AFTERNOON WHEN I WAS HAVING A ROUGH DAY AND JES CAME OVER. THAT WAS SO SPECIAL TO ME, YOU, JES, WILL NEVER KNOW. THAT DAY I SAW THE SENTITIVE SIDE TO JES.
