WE NEED SOME HELP

What makes a good mother stab her children
over 50 times until they die?
What makes a 15 year old boy bring a gun
to school, go into a bathroom and
shoot himself in the head?
How do we explain God to children
who see this happening in their world?
These things are happening in our little world.
I find myself afraid for the young generation
of our world and glad that I am not
raising young children at this time.
Yet the hope and the future live on in
my heart. In the next few
years I will be watching my own grandchildren
enter this world.
As scary as it seems, hope for
the future lives in every little child's heart.
Words of an old BILLY GILMAN song
come to mind...
SOME KIDS HAVE AND SOME KIDS DON'T
AND SOME OF US ARE WONDERING WHY...
WE NEED SOME HELP
DOWN HERE ON EARTH,
A THOUSAND A PRAYERS
A MILLION WORDS
AND ONE VOICE WAS HEARD...
... A PLACE WHERE MOM AND DAD STILL
BELIEVE IN THE GOLDEN RULE...
LIFE IS NOT THAT SIMPLE HERE ON EARTH.
A THOUSAND WORDS A MILLION PRAYERS
ONE VOICE WAS HEARD....
ONE PRAYER, ONE DREAM CAN CHANGE THE WORLD...
KEEP DREAMING, KEEP BELIEVING UNTIL YOU FIND
YOUR WAY...
WE NEED SOME HELP
DOWN HERE ON EARTH...
Yes, we need some help here on Earth
Pray that our children's children
will do a better job than our own generation
has done and that prayer is heard all over
this world.
I love you all!!!!!

  1. IT'S IRONIC THAT I READ THIS LATEST POSTING THIS MORNING! I WENT TO GOLDEN MEADOW MIDDLE SCHOOL'S AWARDS NIGHT LAST NIGHT. THE AUDITORIUM WAS FILL WITH KIDS AND PARENTS ALONG WITH MY OLDEST GRANDCHILD, TEDI RENE BERTHELOT. AS I LOOKED AROUND THE BUILDING I THOUGHT ABOUT LCO MIDDLE SCHOOL. THEN A PRAYER WAS SAID BY ONE OF THE STUDENTS AND SHE MENTIONED TO PRAY FOR "OUR SISTER SCHOOL, LAROSE CUT OFF MIDDLE AND JUSTIN DOUCET AND HIS FAMILY". I TOOK ANOTHER LOOK AROUND AND THERE WERE STUDENTS HUGING AND STUDENTS WITH HEADS ON EACH SHOULDER AND I THOUGHT THESE ARE THE CREAM OF THE CROP. AFTER THE AWARDS, TEDI RECEIVED 3 INCLUDING 2 FOR HER LEAP TEST AND TOP SCHOLAR, WE WENT TO LA CASA TO CELEBRATE. GETTING OUT OF THE CAR WE MET WAYNE AND JERRIE TYLER. JERRIE AND I SPOKE ABOUT THE AWARDS NIGHT. THIS WAS THE FIRST ONE I ATTENDED AT GMMS AND TOLD HER HOW SURPRISE I WAS TO SEE SO MANY KIDS AND PARENTS. SHE TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE A LOT OF GOOD KIDS IN THAT SCHOOL, VERY SMART. I LOOKED AT JERRIE AS I ASKED "WHY DON'T WE HEAR ABOUT THESE KIDS? ALL WE HEAR ABOUT IS THE 10% BAD." IS THIS FAIR? MAYBE IF WE START HEARING ABOUT THE 90% GOOD THE 10% BAD WILL FOLLOW SUIT. IF THIS SAVES JUST ONE CHILD WE DID OUR JOB!

TOMORROW, THURSDAY, I WILL BE ATTENDING ANGE' AWARDS CEREMONIES AT GOLDEN MEADOW UPPER ELEMENTARY AND NEXT FRIDAY I WILL MAKE MY WAY TO HOLY ROSARY FOR THE PLAISANCE'S AWARDS DAY. I WILL BE LOOKING AROUND AGAIN. I BET I WILL SEE THE SAME THING I SAW AT GMMS BRIGHT, YOUNG KIDS EXCITED TO FIND OUT WHAT AWARDS THEY WILL BE GETTING. THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY IS IN THESE YOUNG ADUTLS' HANDS - PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM!

  2. DITTO! I FEEL FOR THESE KIDS AND ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY FOR THEM AND HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THE BEST FUTURE POSSIBLE. I AGREE WITH YOU RONNIE, HOW DO WE GET THOSE 90% ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE PAPER, ON THE TOP NEWS STORIES ON T.V., WHY IS IT THE WORLD WOULD RATHER HEAR ABOUT THE DIRTY LAUNDRY THAN THE CLEAN? WHAT CAN WE AS PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS DO? AND DO YA'LL SOMETIMES WONDER, IS IT OUR FAULT AND WHAT IF ANYTHING DID WE DO SO WRONG THAT HAS MADE THIS WORLD SUCH A KAIOS? ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? THESE 90% GOOD CHILDREN NEED MORE RECOGNITION? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? CAN WE NOW MAKE A DIFFERENCE? SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT?
LOVE YOU ALL AND BY THE WAY TEDI, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU AND ALL MY NEICES AND NEPHEWS! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND KNOW THAT EVEN IF THE WORLD DOESN'T RECOGNIZE YA'LLS GREATNESS, WE ALL, AS YOUR LOVING FAMILY DOES!!!!!!
    LOVE YA ALL,
    ROSIE

  3. I HAVE ANOTHER COMMENT ON THIS SUBJECT. AFTER READING ALL THE ARTICLES ON OUR TRAGIC EVENT OF MONDAY, I FINALY FIGURED OUT SOME OF OUR PROBLEMS. LAROSE CUT OFF MIDDLE SCHOOL WAS IN A LOCK DOWN BECAUSE OF THIS EVENT. AFTER THE LOCK DOWN WAS LIFTED EVERY STUDENT WAS ACCOUNTED FOR, SEARCHED AND LED ABOUT A BLOCK AWAY FROM THE SCHOOL TO THE VFW HOME. WHEN, AFTER A FEW HOURS, THE PARENTS WERE ABLE TO PICK UP THEIR CHILDREN SOME OF THE KIDS COMPLAINED TO THEIR PARENTS THAT THEY HAD NO WATER OR ANYTHING TO EAT. CAN YOU BELIEVE SOME OF THESE PARENTS ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS AND PUTTING DOWN THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION, STAFF, AND SCHOOL BOARD. OH MY GOD!!!!! I DO NOT KNOW ANYONE WHO WORKS OR ATTENDS LCOM BUT I CAN TELL YOU IF ONE OF MY KIDS OR GRANDKIDS WERE IN THAT SCHOOL AND SHE/HE CAME OUR AND TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD NO WATER OR NOTHING TO EAT, YOU KNOW WHAT I WOULD SAY? YOU'RE ALIVE, WE COULD BE PLANNING A FUNERAL. EVEN IF YOU HAD TO CRAWL ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES TO GET TO SAFETY YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL. MY THREE GIRLS KNOW GROWING UP THAT IF YOU GO OUTSIDE AT SCHOOL AND IT IS A BEAUTIFUL, SUNNY DAY AND YOUR TEACHER SAYS THAT THE SKY IS BLACK - GUESS WHAT - THE SKY IS BLACK!!!!

I KNOW THERE IS GOOD AND BAD EVERYWHERE BUT FOR THESE PARENTS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS SITUATION IS JUST PLAIN STUPID.

THAT'S MY IDEA AND I'M STICKING TO IT!

  4. Well I have to get involved in this. I don't pretend to have all the answers but all of you are close.
GOD, Does not give us the answers, and GOD is not the responsible one for the things that happen around us. It is the people who BELIEVE in GOD who change our world. If you belive in God, then you can make the diffeaence.

The 10%ters that do these things, could be the none belivers. Or they could be the people who show us a better way to live our lives and to pass on the right way.

GOD is a man made religion. So it does not take GOD to make things better, it takes a better MAN. We have to quit blaming GOD for our own faults. We have to understand that the 10%ters just might be that they are just CRAZY. Nature just makes it that way. But it has nothing to do with GOD.

    I could go on, but I won't,
I have strong belives about GOD, that most of you probably don't belive in. So I'm gone.

    LUV-U-ALL

  6. SORRY, BROTHER, NOW WE DISAGREE! ANYONE THAT WITNESSES A SUN RISE OR A SUN SET, ANYONE THAT WITNESSES A FLOWER BLOOMING AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST ANYONE WITNESSES A CHILD BEING BORN HAS TO THINK WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS? I BELIEVE IN GOD AND I ALSO BELIEVE HIS ONLY SON WAS SENT TO US AND TAKEN FROM US IN FORGIVENESS FOR OUR SINS. I THINK I AM HELPING GOD BY GOING TO WORK, BY MAKING SURE MY 88 YEAR OLD MOM IS OK, BY HELPING MY CHILDREN WHENEVER I CAN, AND GIVING OF MYSELF TO MY GRANDKIDS FOR WHATEVER THEY NEED. I BELIEVE IN PRAYERS AND I BELIEVE IN THE CHURCH.

I KNOW YOU DON'T BELIEVE THIS AND IT'S OK BECAUSE YOU ARE MY BROTHER AND I LOVE YOU!

  7. When I hear of these Evil events I try to put my self in these people shoes to see what would drive me to do these acts of violence, and the only answer that comes to my mind is anger mixed with a mental condition. Today it angers me when I read a article and I hear that they are Gonna prossicute this kid for attempted Murder, now don't get me wrong he needs to be accountable for his wrongdoings, but I believe this kid needs to be help in a mental institution, instead of being thrown into the system. I bet if this kid would be the son or grandson of the prosecuter, they would be more compasionate to the kid that commited this act. The other day I became angry and told lilly that I felt like writing a blog about the mother that killed her kids, because I didn't believe in the death penalty, because for me to say that I beleive in the death penalty, then if this was Jesica That this this I would have to support her getting exexuted and I can garrantee you that I wouldn't support that, and I would do anything possible to kill the sonabitch that would try to exucute my kids. Now please don't take me wrong I'm not defending the persons that perform these evil acts, but It does anger me when I read a article and our society just wants to judge and pursicute these Individuals.I'm sure that some of the people in the world that commited these evil acts, were never expected to do these acts and were raised by good families, and I'm sure we never will know what makes people go over the deep edge, but I must question my own sanity when I was drug up,full of chemicals, mentally unstable and full of resentment there were many people I would of have love to put a cap in them, and today being sober, I still get in rage when I get angry, but thank God that I have the sanity to know that there is consequnece for my actions.

  8. I agree with a little of all that is written here. I have seen God in my own life so, so, many times!!!
matter of fact I do guest speaking about this many times.
I do believe that I try and do the footwork for God.
Maybe not as often as I should but I do wake up each morning and ask God for help, to make this daly a day that I can make the difference in someone's life,
But Peter, the problem is that God is being taken out of everything and the world is getting worse. We can do God's work but we can't mention his name while doing it.
I know God can help, Lord knows it had a lot to do with prayer and God that my own son is still alive, a functioning life is society.
Ronnie (the hubby) also agree on a lot but not all. I am also against the death penalty but was not always. Families, no matter what the circumstances are, are suffering because of the acts of these individuals and love these people no less than they did before those acts. Should they suffer more through no fault of their own because of those acts, I think not!
If we put ourselves in their shoes we can see the other side of the story.
I do believe they should pay for their crimes here on earth but nothing will be worse for this mother than knowing every day what she did.
I too, Ronnie ( the sister) was outraged when I heard the complaints of the public and parents. Working in the school system, I know all the thought, practice, and fear involved in lock-down and it's pretty sad that we have to teach pre-k, 4 year olds,
about threats that may happen to their life, putting fear into their little lives, just with practicing their are tears and wetting their pants, and it makes me so angry for the fact that in this world these little children can't just enjoy the care-free life that most of us have enjoyed....
Ugh it just sucks all the way around!!!! yet I know that the staff at my school will do whatever they have to do to protect the children, every one of them, now that is doing God's work, yet no matter what we do, it is part of their life.
We have been involved in lock-down for real at my school, a father threatened to come and get his child from school that he had lost custody of.
A school down the street from me went into lockdown when a man killed his girlfriend and was on the loose and threatening to come get her children.
They talk about LEAP scores and all that is not being taught in schools, well let me tell you if you have to stop classes a whole day to keep a child safe no learning is taking place....
ugh!!! yes, brother we do need to do God's work because I do believe he is looking down on us and shaking his head, the problem is not enough people believe in him to give a darn about what is happening in this world
As Ron (the husband) often says God gave us a mind and the free will to use it...
the problem is not enough of us are using it....
If my kid after coming out of LCO complained of not having water for three hours after lives are being protected, I tell you, they wouldn't have water for a long time!!!!
